Wear your gaming pride?

During my shopping excursion today, I found that the men’s underware section is a great place to find ways to wear your gaming pride. Between boxers of various cartoon figures, I found Xbox, Nintendo, and Wii boxers. Unfortunately, no Sony to be found anywhere. Why am I writing about it? This weekend Kohl’s is having a major sale. These boxers ranged from $3 – $7. Instead of the normal $12. You’re probably saying, but I don’t wear male boxers. They make great shorts for the summer. Roll up the tops and pair it with your favorite white tank top and you’ll not only be sporting your love for games and look cute at the same time. Here are the boxers. I bought a pair of the Wii ones!

Myvu – Is it for you?

For GDC, I took Virgin America Airlines. On the back of every seat is a screen where you can play games, watch music videos, movies and even regular television channels. While fun, I did notice an interesting phenomenon. People on the plane were constantly checking out what channels others were watching. Then they would make a decision to change or stay on the current channel. This felt a little bit intrusive when really I just wanted to be in my own world. That’s where the genius of Myvu comes into play. I first saw Myvu at the Consumer Electronic Show. Myvu is a visor with attached headphones. Users can connect the headphones to an iPhone or iPod to watch movies or tv shows. Priced at $199.95, it’s not that expensive if you travel alot or go to work by bus or train. It will be a great way to catch

    Sewing Punzie’s Video Game Needlework

Super Mario blankets? Pacman pillows? If you’ve already stumbled across these images on the internet, there’s a pretty decent chance that they’re the creation of Punzie, who’s as crafty with a needle as she is with a controller. Punzie creates anything from pillows, to blankets, to sweaters, and DS cases. All items are personally made to order from her commission based store on Etsy. They’re also reasonably priced, with DS cases costing a mere $3 and custom blankets at around $80-$90. So if the idea of having a Megaman blanket tickles you the right way, you may just want to give the shop a look. If it so happens that you’re looking for inspiration for your own needle work, you may want to give her Flicker a gander. For those of you interested in checking out Punzie’s store, you can visit her Esty page. More pictures of her works that

The Night that Brawl came out

So last night, the game that myself and fellow Wii owners have been waiting for, had finally arrived. Smash Bro Brawl for the Wii. What made this interesting is that it Daylight Saving time played into the mix and the fact that we finally got a 24hr Wal-mart. You beginning to question, where was I in all the mix. Well I’ll tell you… I feel asleep on the couch. My boyfriend had gone out to Wal-mart with a friend in order to get it and I had to hold down the fort with the amount of people that were at his house to celebrate the joyful event. Myself and the fellow game chick had decided to cook up a massive feed and get ourselves ready. Before they even returned, I was asleep on the couch due to the week long flu that I have been having. I was solid. Not
