Call for Submissions for the 2008 Austin Game Developers Conference

I always enjoy the Austin Game Developers conference. The people that attend are so nice, but in addition to that, the panels are usually informative and an open conversation where plenty of ideas and problems are solved.

This year’s Austin Game Developer’s Conference theme is Evolve to Win, and they have opened the call for submissions to the 2008 conference. All submissions will be accepted until April 14th.

The three main tracks of the Austin Game Conference are Game Audio, Writing for Games and Online Games. The online games also has business and marketing, design, social networking & Community, technology & Services, and Worlds in Motion.

“We are excited to embark on the next chapter of the Austin GDC,” says Izora de Lillard, Event Director of Austin GDC, “Our theme this year ‘Evolve to Win’ reflects the need for developers to challenge themselves to think ahead in terms of community, online games, writing and audio for games. This year’s conference program will not only reflect new trends and technology in the immediate future of digital entertainment, but also include thought leaders with unique insight towards the long term evolution of game development and the industry.”
