Anime Expo Announcements including the Dark Knight

Anime Expo has been busy making announcements about guests of honor and exciting things that are happening at AX this year. Character designer Akemi Takada will be the official Guest of Honor at Anime Expo. AX is held at the Los Angeles Convention Center this year from July 3-6th. This year will be my 5th AX.

Ms. Takada has a theme of “beauty and cuteness”. Using this theme she worked on titles like, URUSEI YATSURA, CREAMY MAMI, KIMAGURE ORAGNE ROAD and MOBILE POLICE PATLABOR.

For those that enjoy Batman, Anime Expo will have a screening and a panel for Batman: Gotham Knight two days before it’s released on DVD. Which is very exciting! I have been waiting to buy Batman: Gotham Knight for months.

Batman: Gotham Knight will feature new stories to the Batman legend and has a mix of writers and anime studios. It should be amazing, and that’s putting it lightly. The movie will be available on July 8,2008 on DVD and Blu-Ray disc.
