Here on Gadget Angels we may appear to have gone a little, IPhone crazy. I know I know, there are other wonderful gadgets to talk about, but when it save on text messaging charges, you can’t really blame me.

We all know how expensive text messaging can be, firing off a few messages to a friend to ask them where the hell they are, or sending a little message of love to a friend who has a bad day, or just responding to twitter messages, can really rack up your phone bill.

Well for the IPhone users there is an App that will TextMessage for free, within the US. You heard me F-R-E-E.
Of course there are little catches but I shall explain them later.

There are 2 Version:
Textfree Lite: Which is the completely free app that has ads, and has a limit on how many text messages you are sending per day/
Textfree Unlimited: No limit on the number of messages per day, no ads, yet costs $5.99 (US)

The Catches:
1) In order for you to receive for free, your friends need to reply to the textfree message you sent. If they send to your regular phone number, (not as a reply but as a new message) you will be charged the regular rate.
2) If your friend does not have textfree, regular charges will apply to then to send and receive. This can be avoided by having your friends get Textfree, and you set up the Textfree to Textfree settings.
