Ah Burger King. Finally, you have thought of a way to sell me your food. Sell me Xbox 360 games with it! You know…it is sort of a “build it and they will come” sort of thing in my eyes.
One of the three games Burger King has produced is called “Sneak King”. Let me tell you,for a four dollar game, I could not be more pleased!
Graphics:
The graphics are TERRIBLE. In fact, they are so bad that they are laughable. This in turn just made me enjoy them that much more. They use very low polygon models with very flat textures. In all honesty, they pulled this method off with flying colors. Everything looked like it fit into the world they created. To me, that is what matters, I suppose. They were humorous, yet everything went together.Controls:
This was my one problem with the game. Left stick controls your movement and right stick controls your camera. Normal, yes? Bllllllaaaaah. The camera stick was set to invert both up/down AND left/right. I looked and looked and could find NO WAY to change this. Yes, I know. I’m a newb and don’t invert anything for anyone. I appreciate the effort they made in this to appeal to the most hardcore gamers, but it is not a shooter! It just doesn’t work well for me. What about everyone who is NOT a professional?Sound:
There wasn’t much sound in the game. People made sounds similar to what you would hear in The Sims. Log sawing sounded good to me. Sometimes, I was confused if people were happy or mad that I had given them my breakfast goodies, though…Flow:
Well, I’m not sure where you would place flow in a title like this. It really is just a silly little time waster. It’s fun, though! You randomly pick up missions that randomly unlock more missions, which randomly unlock more levels with more missions. And so on. If that was their purpose, they nailed it on the head. I liked it ^_^Fun Factor:
I was very surprised with this game. I bought it more out of curiosity than thinking I would play it to all hours of the night. The latter is what happened. It is very addictive…sort of on the level that Snood is addictive. It is the same thing over and over. They change it up a bit and make it more challenging to keep you interested. I really enjoyed it.Is there a female playable character:
Though you are playing as The King with no other choices, they made an effort to put females into the game wherever possible. On the Saw-Mill level, I could have sworn that most of the construction workers and the like were female. They did a good job making it appeal to both sexes.Replay Value:
I think that once you attain all of the achievements in this game, there would be no purpose in going back to play it. Though, you are graded on each mission you complete. For those of you wanting a perfect score, they made it very replayable. This game came as a very welcome surprise. It’s been a while since I’ve been so impressed by a game…but then again, I was also given WAY more than I had expected out of Sneak King. They didn’t take themselves seriously for one second and it works very well. I’m really looking forward to breaking out and playing with the other two they released.
