    Star Tours getting a makeover

I recently went to Disneyland with my mom and Star Tours is always a must stop. One, because of the great air conditioning on a hot day and also because it’s a classic. What I did notice is that the ride did feel old. It looks like that is actually going to change. It sounds to me like they might be shooting the footage in 3D, but I’m not sure. Our source reveals that the revamp will incorporate prequel characters (like Naboo citizens and Geonosians) along with many aliens from the original trilogy (Aqualish. Bith, Rodians,

Spore Universe reaches 100 Million Creations

The images above are amazing for being made in the Spore Creature Creator. I didn’t have much patience myself with it. But people keep building as Maxis has announced that since June 2008, Spore fans have created and uploaded 100 million creations. That averages to 307,000 daily. Crazy huh! “This is a staggering milestone to have met in less than one year from the launch of Spore Creature Creator,” said Lucy Bradshaw, VP and General Manager at Maxis. “We continue to be astounded by the outrageous creations and incredible creativity that Spore players have poured into the Sporepedia, from lifelike animals to fantastical creatures and futuristic spaceships. We can’t wait to see the ingenuity our players reveal through the missions they create in Spore Galactic Adventures!” Spore will be expanding with Spore Galactic Adventures for the PC and Mac, Spore Hero for Wii and Spore Hero Arena for the DS.

PopCap games announced the results of a survey that shows 57% of AT&T wireless customers polled play mobile games on their wireless devices. More than 1,100 AT&T customers were surveyed. PopCap then goes into answers to why customers like gaming on the go. More than 50% said it was a distraction to daily life issues. 50% said they play during work hours. 60% said they play the games at least once a month. But these gamers play for very short stints. 91% said their gaming sessions last 30 minutes or less. “Adoption of mobile games continues to grow, but conversion rate (free to paid players) remains low,” observed Michael Cai, vice president of video games research at Interpret LLC, a leading media research and analysis firm. “Business model diversification is one way to address this conundrum. In addition, more innovative games, like Peggle, and fewer clones and knock-offs, are among
