    Guitar Hero 5 Scavenger Hunt

    Today, Guitar Hero launched an online scavenger hunt that welcomes fans to scour the internet, from blogs to videos and other sources, to uncover the entire playlist for the upcoming Guitar Hero 5 title. Once registered, users will be given clues leading to media sites where new parts of the list will be revealed over the next 5 days. Once the band names have been found, registered users must verify them at the Guitar Hero site. After having the bands verified, they will be entered in The Guitar Hero 5 Tickets, 5 Concerts Sweepstakes for a chance to win a set of 5 tickets to 5 different concerts in a city near the winner.     Kojima updates site with Big Boss

    Kojima just updated his teaser site today with a close up of Big Boss. The face literally made me jump because I wasn’t expecting anything new today. The letters “R” then “P” flash on the screen during the thunder and then it’s a close up of Big Boss. Big Boss is Solid Snake’s commanding officer in the original Metal Gear. The countdown clock is posted again and takes us about to E3.

    Army of Two:40th day screens

    EA sent us a set of screenshots from Army of Two: 40th day this morning. The title is still the two-man private military team of Salem and Rios. The game takes place in the city streets of Shanghai, China. We were unable to get a hands-on at EA3 with this title, but we will be checking it out at E3. Until then, enjoy the screenshots.

    Jaffe speaks about not taking his game to E3

    E3 rumors are everywhere right now. Eat Sleep Play’s David Jaffe has decided to end one rumor about his company’s project being announced at E3 next week. “I’ll say it right now, because some people are speculating: we’re absolutely not going to be at E3,” said the developer, speaking in the video update you can see after the break. “I will be there, and Scott Campbell may be there… but we’re not showing anything.” But don’t rule out next year for Jaffe and his team. “Next year, I fully expect us to be on the showfloor,” Jaffe added. “Part of me would love to announce at E3, so you walk into the Sony booth and bam, there’s our game.” You can watch the full webcam message here: [youtube]Kn8jqqWHNhg[/youtube]

    UK Game Sales chart for week ending May 23

    The UK Games Sales for last week are in and THQ battled it’s way to the top with UFC 2009: Undisputed. Brand new to the countdown and the mixed martial arts game kicks off Wii Fit from the top spot which no one else has been able to do. Nintendo adds a new game high to the list, Pokemon Platinum enters at number 2 while EA Sports Active for the Wii enters above Wii Fit at the third position. Nintendo has a whopping 7 games on the charts.

    Tony Hawk: Ride to cost $120

    GameStop has Tony Hawk: Ride with the skateboard listed at $120. The Activision game will be out later this year. Makes it a very expensive skateboard. Pre-orders are now being taken for the title and while release date is probably inaccurate, the price probably isn’t. [source via Kotaku]
