If you’re a fan of all things Steampunk, this may be of interest to you! Steampunk Tales is the first electronic pulp fiction magazine that emulates the styles of pulp magazines from the 1920s and 30s. The first installment of Steampunk Tales includes the following stories:
- The Mask of Tezcatlipoca by G D Falksen
- Benedice Te by Jay Lake
- Stormada: Red Blossoms for the Queen by Phil Brucato
- The Anachronist’s Cookbook by Catherynne M. Valente
- A Grain of Sand by Mark Rossmore
- Lowlands Low by J Flesher
- The Reanimation Emporium by Brian Rappatta
- Project Möbius-5 by K. E. Kendall
- The Man and the Robot by Noel Black
- Tempus Fugit by Jennifer Wilson
All ten tales are available for $1.99 on the iTunes Store. “We stand at the beginning of a revolution in the distribution of print,” says John Sondericker III, founder of Steampulp Publishing. “The combination of low distribution costs and the potential for high volume sales allows us to provide an astounding value for the consumer. The timing is perfect to re-introduce the world to the ‘penny dreadfuls’, and the iPhone is a platform that can truly do them justice.”
Installations will be released on a monthly basis, and you will be able to buy future and back issues of Steampunk Tales through the Steampunk Tales Reader.
