I am completely a daddy’s girl which is why I’ve always loved Father’s day. It’s a day that we celebrate Dad. After all the good and the bad, Dad’s always seem to have the answers. In America we love tv dads almost as much as our own.

It’s no surprise that according to a Harris Poll, that Dr. Cliff Huxtable from the Cosby Show is still the top dad on the list. Beaver’s dad, Ward Cleaver of Leave it to Beaver is second followed by Jim Anderson from Father Knows Best.

Howard Cunningham of Happy Days is at number 7 while Tim Taylor of Tool Time and Home Improvement lands at number 10.

It’s interesting that most of the dad’s selected are all from before the 90′s. Only one dad listed is on Prime Time Television, Homer Simpson. Has the tv dad taken a back seat to the teen era of gossip girl or the mom’s of Orange County?
