What to do with video on your iPhone 3GS
Since last week, many people have started picking up their iPhone 3GS. It’s already outselling it’s predecessor. One of the key features of the iPhone 3GS is the ability to capture video.
Video on the iPhone 3GS can be captured in widescreen, edited on the phone and then uploaded to youtube or share via email using MobileMe.
Mashable recently wrote about Posterous which offers a new import option for iPhone 3GS users. Posterous can support email uploads for iPhone 3GS videos to basically any site which also includes Twitter and Facebook.
All you have to do is email the video to a Posterous email address and they create the posterous site for you. You never have to even create an account. Update your blogs, Facebook and Twitter instantly with ease.
With the addition of video on the iPhone 3GS many are stating that this will be the end of the consumer pocket camera or small video camera like the Flip. There are limitations of the iPhone 3GS as a camera. It doesn’t have flash, no auto modes and doesn’t have any optical zoom. It’s my opinion that the iPhone 3GS has a way to go before replacing the consumer pocket camera or video camera. But what do you think?
