Heroes Star Celebrates New Comic Series

Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia made an appearance at Golden Apple Comics on Saturday, June 27th to celebrate the release of a new comic series that he co-produced, Berserker. The series was originally written as a made for TV script by  Rick Loverd, which turned down by everyone, saying it was too edgy for television. Milo, along with Russ Cundiff and Jeremy Haun, met and greeted anxious readers who were understandably excited about the new series. They graciously signed copies of Issue Zero of their comic adaptation for fans of the new series. The comic will be released by Top Cow Productions, Inc. In the past, Milo has helped other series come to fruition, such as his series Rest. [picture courtesy of Golden Apple's flickr page] Follow

We used our fancy random selector to pick our winner and the winner is….*virtual drumroll* Eric Gentlemen! Eric’s winning statement is one many 21+ gamers can relate to. “I would fight for a lot of things. Violence is fun! Oh…Real life? I thought this was video games? Real life I’d fight for my family and friends. And to avenge if anyone spilled my Guinness.” The winner was drawn randomly and Eric…you didn’t leave us an email address that we can contact you by. So you have until Friday at 5pm pacific to get back to us. Either comment here or email pr@gamingangels.com with your information. If we don’t hear from Eric, we’ll draw another random winner on Friday. Congrats and

Terry Moore Strangers In Paradise Omnibus

Terry Moore’s Strangers In Paradise is one of the best comic series I have ever read. I’m always hesitant when a male is writing female characters. But Terry Moore writes from a place as if Katchoo and Francine were alive and telling him their story. Strangers in Paradise ended a while back but Terry Moore has created the Strangers in Paradise Omnibus for sale at San Diego Comic Con. The Omnibus is the complete SIP story in two 1100 page hardcovers with dust jackets. Terry Moore also says in an interview with CBR that SDCC buyers will get a special tote bag for carrying. “We’re making special tote bags out of canvas, with the cover image on the bags,” he told CBR. “All the books that are sold at San Diego will be handed over in those bags. And that’ll help. You can just wear that like a backpack and
