Barnes and Noble announce free wifi and eReader app

Barnes and Noble have announced today that they will now offer complimentary wifi service in their stores provided by AT&T.  This is one heck of a step in a good direction for them as this will be great for people who enjoy going to Barnes and Noble to relax and read.

Along with this announcement, Barnes and Noble have also released their free eReader app for the iPhone/iPod touch, Blackberry, and PC/MAC. They also have an offer for some free books once you download the app. Their prices for books look to be comparable to what Amazon offers for books on the Kindle, so between the free application download and the prices it looks to be like a good value.
