Daigo wins 2009 Evo Championship

Evo Championships

The Evolution Championship series took place this weekend in Vegas and brings together players from various fighting games. The game lineup this year included:

* Street Fighter 4 (PS3)
* Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, HD Remix (PS3)
* Soul Calibur 4 (PS3)
* Marvel vs Capcom 2 (TBA)
* Street Fighter 3, Third Strike (PS2)
* Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core (PS2)
* EXHIBITION: Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Invitational Tournament (Nintendo Wii)
* EXHIBITION: SSF2T HD Remix, Regional 5on5 Team Tournament (PS3)

Tonight they broadcasted the Street Fighter 4 Finals which put Daigo up against Justin Wong. Justin definitely gave Daigo a run for his money by taking the tournament down to the very last match. While Daigo is a legend in Street Fighter tournaments, Justin put up an amazing fight. Definitely a great match to watch.
