Mobsters: Big Apple Hits the iPhone

Playdom has announced the release of Mobsters: Big Apple™, the first universally engaging mafia game for the iPhone connected to a social network with speed, quality and depth of game play.

One Game, Two Ways to Play

Playdom’s 13.5 million Mobsters players can continue their existing game on the iPhone, and enjoy access to exclusive iPhone missions involving a mysterious Mr. X. iPhone players can choose to play entirely on their phone or link the game to a new or existing MySpace account for access to friends.

A Big Game for Serious Players

The game is purposefully designed to allow players to move through the ranks quickly and, given the depth of Mobsters MySpace, will support more than a year of intense game play. To further enhance the experience, Mobsters: Big Apple allows players to build their mob by running missions for “hired guns,” as opposed to relying exclusively on friend invites.

“Mobsters: Big Apple allows us to offer an expanded playing experience to our millions of dedicated MySpace players,” said Jesse Janosov, Director of Product at Playdom. “This is part of a larger Playdom strategy to delight our users across platforms and devices—to offer a truly cohesive gaming experience.”
