Star Wars Wii-Mote Add Ons: Lightsaber and Clone Tooper Blaster
The Wii loves its video game accessories, and we eat them up. A while back when The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was released there was an add of a sword and shield for the nunchuk and wii-mote. We have the Wii Fit balance board, the wii bowling ball and other items to go along with it.
Of course, what would be an add-on-ation without discussing every Star War fan’s dream of having a lightsaber.
Dream no longer! Bensussen Deutsch & Associates, Inc. or BDA has announced two new Star Wars licensed video game accessories for Wii – the Clone Trooper Blaster and Light-Up Lightsabers.
These add ons are in honor of the new Star Wars game that would be released this September “Star Wars Clone Wars: Republic Heroes”.
In either press release the items are decribed as follows:
“The blaster is designed for use with both the Wii Remote™ and Nunchuk™. When a player encounters an enemy, the blaster’s dual-trigger action – one on the barrel and one on the Nunchuk – enables quick blasting!”
While the lightsaber is decribed as:
“Designed for use with the Wii Remote, an on/off switch allows players to control the light-up feature of the lightsaber. The Anakin lightsaber is illuminated with a blue glow, while Yoda’s has a green glow. The Wii Remote fits safely in the lightsaber handle, which was designed for comfort, enabling players to battle at peak performance levels.”
After looking at the images that acompanied the press releases, there are great amounts of detail placed into crafting these items and give off the star wars vibe needed to accompany these games.
Though I have acquired a list of places that these items can be found, I was unable to find a price for either item. The retailer list is as follows:
American retailers include: Amazon.com, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, Toys “R” Us and Walmart.
International retailers include: Carrefour, Auchan, FNAC, MediaMarkt, and Micromania in Europe; Sears, Walmart Canada and Zellers in Canada; and EB, Game and Harvey Norman in Australia.
