    Resident Evil 5 in 3D on PC

    Before San Diego Comic Con, Capcom invited us to take a look at Resident Evil 5 on the PC. We were in for a treat though because it combined the greatness of killing zombies with 3D actions. That’s right, Capcom is the latest to work with Nvidia to incorporate their API into their game. Capcom is currently working on taking that 3D technology to the next level by adding outer screen affects to the current depth affects. Capcom is the first game company to do this. First we put on the Nvidia goggles and watch Capcom take us through the demo. First thing I notice is how comfortable the glasses are. I have to wear them over my glasses and had no problems.     Send DSi Photos Directly to Facebook

    Nintendo DSi users can now upload pictures taken or stored on their DSi directly to Facebook with a new application included for free in the newest system update. While looking through a photo album, just tap the facebook icon at the top of the screen and the photos will be sent to a folder on your Facebook page (as long as the DSi is connected to the internet, of course). “Facebook and Nintendo DSi build on the trend of personalization that is so important to consumers,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “We’re giving people the tools to express themselves in creative new ways and show off the results to their friends and family on Facebook.” I updated my system yesterday and there it was, the little Facebook icon in my photo album.     Siggraph 2009 announces Computer Animation festival winners

    The SIGGRAPH has over 200 exhibits and focuses on research, science, art, animation, music, gaming , interactivity, education, and the web. The conference is open to the public from August 3 through Friday August 7 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The very respected event announced the winners of the Computer Animation festival winners.     Hello Kitty Online accepting signups for closed beta

    I think we got at least two weeks and then I have to post something Hello Kitty related. Even the staff is on the look out for HK information now! This week we have a new trailer for Hello Kitty Online the first MMORPG in the Sanrio universe. HKO is also taking signups for their closed beta at http://www.hellokittyonline.com/us.     Sony Online Entertainment announces G.I.R.L. scholarship winner

    Sony Online Entertainment announced the winner of their 2009 G.I.R.L. Scholarship. Rebecca Gleason of Indianapolis, IN won the second year of the program and received $10,000 to be applied toward tuition and other educational expenses at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Rebecca also has the option of a paid internship of up to 10 weeks at SOE headquarters in San Deigo working on Free Realms. “I feel so honored to be given this opportunity,” said Gleason. “I can’t wait to make the most of it by really diving in, absorbing what I learn and working to promote the mission of the G.I.R.L. program.” Over 160 people applied for the scholarship and finalists were asked to submit original concept art of a new game environment and new characters for Free Realms. Each finalist also had to write two essays discussing their art and views on women in the video game industry. “The

    Valve announces Left 4 Dead: Crash Course DLC

    Valve has announced new DLC coming to Left 4 Dead this September. The DLC is titled, Crash Course and has new single-player, multiplayer and co-op. “Since the release of ‘Left 4 Dead’ last November, the design team has been excited about creating new experiences for this world and allowing players to do the same, by releasing much of our internal toolset, like the Survival Pack and Authoring Tools,” said Gabe Newell. “We’re working with the fans toward the ongoing entertainment value of the product.” “Crash course” will deliver the complete Versus mode in just 30 minutes. It also has new locations and new dialogue. Left 4 Dead: Crash Course will be released in September free of charge to PC users and 560 Gamer Points on Xbox Live.
