There are also opportunities to brew potions, duel schoolmates (Slytherins), learn charms, and collect wizard cards, gobstones, chess pieces, and butterbeer which can be used to swap for important objects to help complete the tasks at hand.     Japanese All-Girl Punk Bands Jam at New People’s Grand Opening

    If you are lucky enough to be in San Francisco on August 15th, you should definitely head down to Japantown and check out the grand opening celebration for New People – an entertainment and retail destination point. Retail shops and Viz Media’s theatres are a part of New People. Part of the celebration includes the launch of the first annual J-pop Summit Festival. There are three all female punk bands who will be showcased at the event on August 15th which begins at 12:45pm and is free to attend. TsuShiMaMiRe blends elements of punk, ska, jazz, funk and rock with danceable beats and power pop chords. The band, which is composed of three girls, formed in 1999 and has gained widespread international notoriety for their intense live shows and songs about everything from tragedy and sex to fish cakes.     Interview with Nvidia about 3D Vision

    At a recent hand’s on,Capcom spoke so highly about their experience working with Nvidia that I had to interview Nvidia about their technology. The product that makes it all possible is 3D Vision . 3D Vision requires that you have the goggles, a 120HZ display, compatible Nvidia GeForce Graphics card, and a PC with Vista or Win 7 running on it.     Paypal added to Xbox Live

    Microsoft has announced that Xbox 360 owners now have another way to purchase content on Xbox Live. Gamers in the US can now use Paypal according to Major Nelson. Users can login and associate their PayPal information to their Xbox Live account instead of putting their credit card on the console. Multiple PayPal accounts can be linked to one Xbox Live gamertag. Users will still have to buy points first and then use those points for items. But this definitely should make the process easier for gamers that don’t want to put their credit card on the console. Follow

    Hearts of Iron III Released

    Hearts of Iron is a pretty intense RTS game by Paradox Interactive set to release today in North American stores and via all major digital download portals. The game was recently awarded the Readers Choice “Best of E3 – PC Strategy” on Voodoo Extreme, along with being nominated for the “Best of E3 – PC Strategy” on IGN and Gaming Excellence. Releases in Europe will follow on August 14th (UK, Scandinavia) and August 28th (my birthday!) in France and Germany. Below is the release trailer for the game, to give you a good look at this game. I had a chance to see this game at E3 when I saw Majesty 2 and East India Company, and when I say it’s an intense RTS game, I mean it.
