Sony’s price cut on the Playstation 3 seems to have made many of the industry’s top producers very happy. Final Fantasy Producer, Yoshinori Kitase told VG247 that he thinks the PS3 price reduction is good news for FFXIII.

“Now that the hardware is becoming even more accessible for players, it’s really good timing for us,” Yoshinori Kitase told VG247.

“We’re taking it as really good news, actually, because we’re planning to release Final Fantasy XIII this winter in Japan and next spring for both European and North American territories.”

The title will be a PS3 exclusive in Japan and will be released on the 360 and PS3 in the UK and US.
