The executive vice president of digital media for Marvel, Ira Rubenstein said in an interview with Joystiq that Marvel is finished with making “crappy” movie-based games.

They want to have games tied to the release of movies but each character will stay in his/her own world, as in X-men Origins: Wolverine. He used the latest Marvel tie in title to show what the company wants to do.

“We are not doing movie-based games anymore,” said Rubenstein. “Actually, wait … we are not doing crappy movie-based games anymore. You can quote me on that.”
