TiVo will add Web Videos Option
Tweet
I have never owned a TiVo myself, but I believe that the concept behind the technology was and still is brilliant. Also, its been around for so long and people are still buying and using them. Well for you TiVo owners, and those interested in getting one, TiVo will be adding a Web Video Option. What does this exactly mean? Well according to Cnet,
subscribers will be able to watch free video podcasts from several providers, including CBS, Fox, Oprah, and more. (CNET News is published by CBS Interactive, a unit of CBS.) They can watch a single episode or subscribe to all the podcast’s shows by opting for a season pass….TiVo also announced that it will allow users to input video podcast RSS feeds to watch those shows that they can’t find on their TiVo Web Video listing.
So your favorite video podcast you will be able to add manually, if they apply to the TiVo guidelines via the insertion of the RSS feed. Those of you who are interested this new feature applies to TiVo Series3, TiVo HD, and TiVo HD XL DVRs.
