    Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Sneak Peek Event

    Konami, holding true to the goal of year-round support to hobby stores, announced the fourth Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game Sneak Peek event showcasing the soon-to-be released Stardust Overdrive booster set. This new booster set will be released at participating Official Tournament Stores on October 31 and/or November 1, depending on what the store wants. The booster set will be available at all hobby stores on November 17. Aside from the excitement of a new booster set, there are a few new, never before seen World Premier cards that are guaranteed to add an extra little bit of excitement to the event. Stardust Overdrive boasts monsters from all of the Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series’s, including many of the creatures used by and against the Dark Signers in the current Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s series.     Warhammer Online coming to Mac on October 28

    Mythic Entertainment has announced that they will be releasing Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning for Macs on October 28, 2009. WAR will be available by digital download to new subscribers at gametreeonline.com for $19.95 and includes 30 days of game time. Current subscribers can download the Mac client for free. “We’re incredibly excited to bring Warhammer Online and its enthralling Realm vs. Realm combat to the Mac community,” said Jeff Hickman, Executive Producer of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. “Come October 28th, the sides of Order and Destruction will be bolsters by a fresh recruit of Mac gamers experiencing for the first time exactly what we mean when we say that ‘WAR is everywhere!’” A new MMORPG to the Mac is always a good thing.     First look into the Lich King’s Frozen Halls

    More exciting news for World of Warcraft fans today as Blizzard has released some details regarding our final battles against the Lich King in Icecrown Citadel! The Frozen Halls dungeon will be spread across three wings of the citadel’s foundation. The epic quest line that Blizz teased us about at Blizzcon has been revealed in better detail, and I have to say it has me quite excited! In this new question, you will fight to weaken the Lich King’s defenses with either Jaina Proudmoore (Alliance) or Sylvanas (Horde). Players will need to defeat the challenges of each dungeon wing before moving onto the next one. Each wing will be a separate instance with different lockout timers, and all will be available in Normal and Heroic difficulties.     Here is the English TGS Final Fantasy XIII trailer

    Square Enix has released an English subtitled version of the Final Fantasy XIII Tokyo Game Show trailer. Many of you have been discussing the trailer in our comments blog so here it is! The first trailer is in English and the second is the Japanese original. The trailer is amazing. Final Fantasy XIII comes to Playstation 3 in Japan on December 17 and we’re still waiting for an exact date for US and Europe.

    Play Uncharted 2 in the theaters

    Uncharted 2 is so epic, Sony is taking it to the movie theaters to give gamers a chance to play Uncharted 2: Among Thieves on a movie screen. On October 5 and 6, four theaters in San Francisco, Thousand Oaks, California, Rosemont, Illinois and Bellevue, Washington will be equipped with Sony digital-project technology and ready to play. Mike Fidler, senior vice president of Sony Electronics’ Digital Camera Solutions and Services Group hopes that events like this could drive revenues. “This is the first time we’re doing it in a theater.     Tim Allen gives Buzz a thumbs up for being in Space

    Buzz Lightyear went to infinity and beyond recently. Buzz was aboard Space Shuttle Discovery STS-128 and returned home on September 11. To celebrate more than 15 months in space, he’ll be treated to a ticker-tape parade down Main Street U.S.A in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida on October 2. October 2 is also the day that Toy Story and Toy Story 2 return to the big screen. In the very cute picture, Tim Allen, the voice of Buzz Lightyear, gives Buzz a thumbs up for his amazing trip. The trip is part of a NASA-Disney educational outreach collaboration.
