    First look at Defendor Trailer

Defendor is almost the anti-superhero movie. It’s a superhero film where the superhero has no powers. He’s just a kind and determined guy trying to make things right. Defendor is played by Woody Harrelson. Also in the film are Kat Dennings (as a prostitute) and Sandra Oh (as his therapist). On IMDB, the film is still listed as in Production, so no release date yet. Here’s a blurb about the trailer: “When night falls and danger emerges from the shadows of Hammer Town’s alleyways, Defendor is the only man who stands between us and the drug-ravaged streets. He is the last bastion of decency, the last honourable man: he is Defendor! But he is also Arthur Poppington (Woody Harrelson), a simple man who lives in the workshop of the construction company that employs him to hold traffic signs. Arthur is a self-made superhero who runs afoul of the law when

    Nat Nelson: Vaudevillian Extraordinaire

This is a book that I was excited to read as it has an interesting plot line as well as being conceived and published as a result of NaNoWriMo! The story of the conception through publication of The Meteoric Rise and Fall of Nat Nelson: Vaudevillian Extraordinaire is an extraordinary tale in and of itself, and nobody better to explain it than the author, Heatherlyn Egan: In August ’09, my Dad took me out for sushi when I was in Pittsburgh visiting. After 2 24oz. beers each and a decanter of sake, he told me that I have a great uncle Nat who was in Vaudeville, but he got hurt and had to stop dancing, but kept doing other things. At that time, I thought it was an interesting story, but didn’t give it much more thought. Then in Rochester, New York in October, I was chatting with Danny, the

Marvel interviews the King of Fashion: Tim Gunn

Marvel announced awhile back about Tim Gunn being featured in a new comic. The cover alone blew our minds. Tim Gunn in an Iron Man suit? Will Tim change the fashion of Marvel? Recently Tim Gunn visited the Marvel offices and met with Marvel’s Senior Fashion editor, Margarita Vaisman. In the video below they talk about Tim’s new project with Marvel and who he thinks is due for a makeover. I love the part where he says he’s more of a “biter and hairpuller”. He seems so awesome in the video. Tim Gunn, I love you. Tim Gunn’s Marvel Universe debut in MODELS, INC. #1 on sale September 9, 2009. Follow

Activision features Hefner in Guitar Hero 5 ads

Activision Blizzard caused quite a stir when their last tv ads featured Heidi Klum dancing around playing Guitar Hero. Interestingly enough, the ones featuring all male athletes didn’t cause alot of media talk. How does Activision Blizzard top themselves? By going straight to creator of Playboy, Hugh Hefner. The first tv ads will be shown during Big Brother today and they will feature Hugh Hefner and some of the bunnies. A senior brand manager told MCV that: “We have enlisted the help of Hugh Hefner and his Playboy bunnies for the TV advertising, which should appeal to our fans – and also guarantees their attention, at least for duration of the advert,” he said. “We saw from our work with Heidi in the previous creative that enlisting the help of true talent for our advertising can spread the Guitar Hero name virally. Our director’s cut of the Heidi TV ad
