    ‘Awakening’ Creators to tour Northeast

    Getting you into the mood for Halloween, writer Nick Tapalansky and artist Alex Eckman-Lawn will start a four stop tour to sign and promote their Archaia horror book, Awakening. Each stop will offer exclusive prints and a link to read a free, online preview of the first chapter in the next volume.     Chillingo & Kinelco Release Underground for iPhone/ iPod Touch

    Chillingo and Kinelco have released the classic 2d shooter, Underground to the Apple Apps Store. In Underground, players follow a graffiti artist through an underground transit system to solve the mystery of a previous art crime. As players progress through the story, they are introduced to the graffiti artist’s inner demons. Player move from station to station in this classic 2d style side scrolling shooter. Underground uses a the tilt and multi touch funtionality of the iPhone/ iPod Touch to control shooting and enable multi direction aspects. Underground has three difficulty levels: Easy, Hard and Impossible. The game also features 60 enemies and 11 different weapons. Graffiti artwork in Underground is created by abstract artist, Mr Frame and the score for the game was done by Hip Hop artist, Pp3d.     Some DSi titles that are destined for 2010

    Word is a couple of new Nintendo DSi exclusive titles are coming out in Europe in early 2010 – and they are also destined for DSi’s in Australia and New Zealand. It’s all thanks to 505 Games who will also launch a Nintendo DS title that has Nintendo DSi compatible content. The first title is the game Hair Salon, developed by Sonic Powered. The game uses the DSi camera function to take your picture so that you can try out some hair styles or make-up looks on yourself or your friends (without the messy cleanup!), and you can even use your picture to become a character in the game! It is also the first game to have Automatic Face Recognition – stick your noggin in the right spot and the DSi will automatically take your picture! Pretty cool, huh?
