    Courier: Microsoft’s secret tablet

I have been holding off buying an netbook in hopes that Apple will announce a tablet for me to love. Never realizing that Microsoft might fly in and sweep me off my feet. Gizmodo.com has the first look at the Courier, Microsoft’s secret tablet project and it has taken my breath away. Courier is a real device in the “late prototype” stage and it’s not a tablet but more of a booklet. It looks alot like the portfolio holder I take with me for interviews/work. There are dual 7″ screens that are multitouch and can detect writing. J. Allard, from Xbox Microsoft fame, has been spearheading this project. The video that is on Gizomdo (that you HAVE to see), shows how the screens would interact and how a user might write in a saved journal. Absolutely breathtaking. Go and see the rest of the pictures and the video at Gizmodo.com
