    Magic: the Gathering Combos 101

Hey everyone. It’s time for RenoChan’s Combos 101! This week I’m going to talk about some interesting combos that I’ve found. Let’s start with some fun things that you can do with blue cards. Keep in mind, these are just some options and can always be improved on! First up, the Mindlock Combo! What you need: -Maralen of the Mornsong -Mindlock Orb Optional: -Colfenor’s Plans -any/all hideaway lands So first we have Mindlock Orb. For one Island and 3 of anything, you can completely keep anyone from searching libraries. Of course, that means you as well. Maralen’s a little cheaper for 2 Swamps and 1 of anything. With her on the field, players can’t draw cards. At the beginning of everyone’s (even your own) upkeep, they lose 3 life and can search their library for a card of their choice, shuffle the deck, and put that card into their hand.

GameSpot has art and video that confirms Super Street Fighter IV is a new, standalone title. The title will have eight new characters and some tweaks based on community feedback. Interesting that it’s an all new title instead of DLC. The Yoshinori Ono says that the changes are so extensive that a new disc release was necessary. It’s due in Spring 2010 for the PS3 and 360.

    Torchlight – Out October 27th!

Long ago at PAX 2009, I took time out of my busy schedule of contracting H1N1, to avail myself of some new titles coming out this year. One of the more exciting booths I stopped by (for an appointment, but I feel like I would’ve found myself there anyway), was for developer Runic games. All of the folks there were super nice and very knowledgeable about their new game coming out. What game is that, you ask? TORCHLIGHT. And when is that beauty coming out? TORCHLIGHT WILL BE AVAILABLE ON PC THIS OCTOBER 27TH. By Jove, it’s nearly October now! Well if you like things that are fun and nice to look at, please give Torchlight a try. Although all of the stations were full at PAX, and I didn’t get to try Torchlight for myself (which is probably a good thing, because I’m rubbish at PC games), I did

    Meet the GamingAngels – Stealthyslyth

Born in the wee hours of the morning in a brisk Chicago fall, Steph (aka stealthyslyth) came into the world. She grew up listening to good old classic rock and pop music, learned about computers and how to build them with her father, and gained a passion for cooking from her mother. Her quirky side that developed as she grew into liking video games, heavy metal, piercings, tattoos and coloring her hair weird shades has been attributed to her father’s mischevious side or other unknown reasons. Steph migrated to New York City to further her education, and decided to stick around after she was done. Below are some things to take note of when coming in contact with a Steph: Likes: Video games: She is known to play many games. She has a 360, PS3, Wii, Gamecube, PS2, Xbox, DS, and GBA SP.
