Introducing… Hero Mages!

heromages_scrnsht

Indie developer D20Studios released Hero Mages, a turn-based strategy game that melds elements from miniatures, cards, and social board games into one ball of fun. Hero Mages allows players from all over the world to come together to build, manage, and run their own fantasy armies in the convenience of their browser window. But wait, it gets better! Hero Mages is completely free to play and can be found at www.heromages.com.

With a hand of cards representing spells and dice, two to four players take turns making their moves and attacking with their team of three characters, fighting to control the destiny of Papillion, a land at war after a mysterious prophecy. One character is a magician with the power to use magical abilities. Use the power of the elements. Summon creatures. Alter the very world. Defeat your enemies and emerge the victor as the Hero Mage!

Hero Mages comes complete with super-detailed animated characters and spells, beautiful landscapes, sound effects, and epic music. Game statistic records and skill based leaderboard areĀ  also present, for those who like knowing just where they stand. Fast playtime lets players get in a quick gaming fix in a matter of minutes instead of being forced to sit down for hours while the variety of characters, abilities, and game types offer endless opportunities for new strategies and epic struggles. No two rounds are the same.

For a small price, the game also offers a few premium features like additional characters and a map editor.

Again, Hero Mages is completely free. Anyone can try it without making an account, though they are limited to a preset number of characters, to see if they like it. www.heromages.com
