They are getting creative by not only providing tokens in the form of cards, but also creative ways of improving the game. With the production of Planechase, I can see a brighter future for competitive multiplayer magic. 20$ for a planechase deck is really worth it. It's like Slivers. I hate them, so I don't play them. So far, there hasn't been much that's horrible in the latest changes. Sure, no more mana burn and a few other things (M10 rules update), and then the planes, but it's still an amazing game... Anyway, Magic's competing against Yu-Gi-Oh! and how often are they releasing new sets? I still have 1,000+ cards tucked away in my special Magic-specific boxes. But, as they tried to "improve" the game, they added abilities that I didn't like. I understand that everything needs to move forward and change in order to continue being interesting, but... bleh. :P You know, I really used to care about Magic: The Gathering.
