Nintendo to offer web browser for free

Nintendo wants to make browsing the web on the Wii as easy as possible, so now they are allowing Wii users to do it for free. The Wii Shop Channel has the Internet Channel which allows users to browse the Internet on their televisions using the Wii Remote.
“Wii has truly changed the way people play games, but it is more than just a game console,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “Wii owners have access to a wealth of fun entertainment, information and practical tools like the Internet Channel, which is another great way for the whole family to enjoy their consoles with no additional costs involved.”
When it was launched it was initially free, but then the 500 Wii Points price was attached. Those who have paid to download the Internet Channel, will get one NES game valued at 500 Wii Points from the virtual console. If you think you qualify for this check out Nintendo’s Wii Message Board for all the info.
