    A use for Surface table, Dungeons & Dragons

    This is like a DM’s craziest dream right? I’ve come in contact with a Microsoft Surface table once in Seattle during PAX. For those who haven’t, it’s a table with an interactive surface that can be used via touch. It can show pictures from a device placed on it, display data, and can be used for games. But I didn’t even think of this usage which seems the most practical! The Surfacescapes team at the Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University came up with a real Dungeons & Dragons demo. This is a tech work in progress but this is pretty cool to see. The video shows character registration, dm scene setup, and the interactive world map. While this mode is probably way more expensive than most DMs can afford, the breakdown and ease in the menu system may be what Dungeons & Dragons needs to bring in new

    Kristie Kelly and Disney to unveil new Couture Bridal Gown

    Designer Kristie Kelly and Disney will be announcing a brand new dress to add to the Disney Bridal collection. The dress in the picture is inspired by Giselle while the new dress is inspired by Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog. The new collection will also include Snow White Diamond Edition gown, all new “Maidens” for bridesmaids, “Blossoms” for flower girls and a new line of jewelry. The Princess Tiana gown has an ivory hue with a hand beaded rouched bodice of silk chiffon; a cascading pleated silk skirt and a waterfall train. The Snow White Diamond Edition gown is in conjunction with the release of the Blu-ray disc of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. “The Princess Tiana gown is a very special part of the Disney Princess collection,” said Kelly. “When I look at this gown I see a modern woman that is very comfortable with

    New Halo Waypoint Content and information

    Thanks to the awesome community manager at Halo Waypoint, we have new information about the upcoming destination! Halo Waypoint launches on November 5 for fans to access “all things Halo”. Launched from 343 Industries and Certain Affinity, Halo Waypoint will have news and activities as well as new content. Halo Waypoint will give Halo gamers a career system tied to in-game accomplishments across multiple Halo games. The career tracking will include Halo 3: ODST, Halo 3, Halo Wars and all Game Add-on content for those titles at launch. Halo Waypoint will also showcase previews of Halo Legends, the anime anthology, starting November 7. Halo Waypoint will be available to Xbox Live Silver members only for a short time!     Sakaguchi confirms new project at Mistwalker

    In a blog pondering over surfing LEGO pieces, Sakaguchi, founder of Mistwalker Studios, has finally announced that his team is currently working on a new title. But more than that…it’s may be close to completion. “ Am I an “idle man”, I wonder? (^^; Well, I am just trying to pastime… I am working hard on a new project.     First in-game video for Zero Gravity Shooter, Shattered Horizon

    Futuremark Games Studio has released a new trailer showing the first in-game footage for Shattered Horizon. Shattered Horizon is an upcoming multiplayer first-person shooter for the PC set in zero gravity. Players will fight in zero gravity to control the limited supplies available. Not only is the trailer pretty good looking, but there was very little noise. Because we all know that there is no sound in space! The first trailer is all in-game footage showing the use of rocket packs and two players trying to take control of an asteroid. “This new trailer shows Shattered Horizon’s realistic space setting and the player’s complete freedom of movement,” said Antti Summala, lead designer at Futuremark Games Studio. “FPS fans looking for a new multiplayer challenge this holiday should check out Shattered Horizon for an experience that is only possible in a game without gravity.” Follow the website for more information on

    First Microsoft store opens this week

    Microsoft will be opening the doors to their first branded retail stores this Thursday, October 22. According to the Wall Street Journal, the timing of the stores is for the release of it’s next operating system, Windows 7. The first site is in Scottsdale, Arizona and is expected to showcase PCs, mobile phones and Xbox 360 hardware. A second site is planned for Viejo, California. Can a Microsoft store pull the “coolness” factor of an Apple store? We’ll have to see. Follow

    FIFA 10 scores another week on top of the UK Charts

    FIFA 10 scores another week in the number one spot of the UK Game Sales chart. I believe that’s three weeks in a row! Uncharted 2: Among Thieves wasn’t even enough to knock it down, entering the countdown in the second spot. Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising falls one to 3. Wii Sports Resort and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games round out 4 and 5. Brutal Legend enters the countdown at number 7 and Halo 3: ODST falls from 6 to 9. Gran Turismo has the largest fall from 7 to 16 this week. Nintendo still holds the top publisher spot with 6 titles in the top 20. Follow
