    Cellufun Launches Hallofun for Cell Phones

    Cellufun has launched Halloween fun for mobile phones. Hallofun is a series of games cell phone users can play while on the go. Cellufun’s users can decorate their homepages, dress up their avatars in costumes, knock on their friends’ doors and go trick-or-treating, pick pumpkins, and carve killer jack-o-lanterns. There’s also a Haunted Hay Ride, a Haunted House Maze, bonfire building, and a costume contest in which users can vote for the coolest costumes in Cellufun. Hallofun’s virtual costumes are available for free and for purchase (from $2-$4) and include Betty Boop, a French Maid, a Chef, an Astronaut, a Ninja, and dozens of others. Cellufun is also offering a limited edition Halloween Mobile Pet Bat and two Halloween Pet Dragons and is re-launching their Captives of Witch Hill adventure game with new graphics and story elements. “Hallofun is the ultimate virtual Halloween experience,” said Neil Edwards, CEO of Cellufun.

    Molyneux has announced Natal support for Fable 3

    A tweet from UK Gamesbrief founder, Nicholas Lovell has stated that Peter Molyneux confirmed that Fable 3 will feature Natal support. The Tweet said: “Fable 3 will have Natal support. Is that an announcement? #molyneux” Molyneux seems to have been talking about it at a BAFTA lecture in London. It makes sense after his Milo showcase and Peter’s love for continuing to push games forward. Follow

    Ratchet & Clank demo up tomorrow

    The US PS Blog has details that the demo for Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time will be up on Playstation Network this Thursday. Even better news, is this is the first of two demos that are going to be released. “In this demo, you’ll take get to take control of Clank as he explores the Great Clock learning more about his past and his new time-based abilities that you’ll need to utilize to solve puzzles and defeat some of Dr. Nefarious’ minions,” said SCEA chap, Cristian Cardona.     Namco Bandai reveals a new shooter

    Namco Bandai has announced a brand new IP today which is a third person shooter called, Inversion. The game gives players the ability to mess with gravity using the Grappler device. “Inversion will turn the shooter genre upside down – literally,” Namco Bandai’s US director of marketing and public relations Todd Thorson stated. “Saber Interactive’s innovative gravity manipulation feature will blow away any preconceptions of what a contemporary shooter should be.” Inversion is due for release on Xbox 360 and PS3 some time in 2010.     Need for Speed tops 100m sales

    Need for Speed franchise has surpassed 100M units sold life to date. That’s alot of you out there racing cars in any of the Need for Speed franchise titles. The latest in the series is Need for Speed Shift. “Few videogame franchises ever reach the 100M units mark, so this is a huge honor.     Guest First Look – Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

    If there was one thing that was great at VGXPO this year, it was that Nintendo had a huge presence. There were a lot of DS and Wii systems  hanging around. Most of the Wii games were games that had already had been showcased like Punch Out and Wii Sports Resort but the DS games were another story. One particularly interesting game was the Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. I had actually heard very little about the game besides some box art that I had seen somewhere so I was eager to try this game out. On the demo they had three modes: Train, Dungeon, and Boss. The Legend of Zelda games are very famous for its dungeons so I started there. The first thing that I noticed about this game was that it was similar to Phantom Hourglass. It had the same cell-shaded art style and the same controls.

    Chris Bowling wins Shonen Jump Championship Austin

    This past weekend in Austin, Texas, over 500 Yu-Gi-Oh! players showed their stuff and fought their best games to win the title of the 70th Shonen Jump Championship winner. Chris Bowling, from Arlington, TX, was the lucky duelist to claim this title. He qualified for the 2010 U.S. National Championship. To go along with this win, he also won the U.S. Championship in 2008. Bowling played Morandice Black in the final round after two days of working his way up the ranks. Both competitors were ready for an intense match, bringing their best game and their best deck. In the end, Bowling came out on top. Both competitors took home very nice prize back, and Bowling won a paid trip to the National Championships, while the top 16 finalists qualified to participate in their countries’ 2010 National Championships.
