On October 2, someone stole Seth Green’s vintage Butterfinger bar. He’s calling on fans to play the “lite” alternate reality game to find Green’s missing bar and win one grand prize: a solid gold Butterfinger bar worth $10,000.

Butterfinger spokesperson, Seth Green might be new to the position but is already working hard. Collaborating with Butterfinger to producer “Dude, Where’s my Bar?” an alternate reality game lite (ARGL). DudeWheresMyBar.com gives fans a way to participate through a narrative game and videos starring Seth Green and co-starring actors Sean Cullen, Stuart Pankin, and Jon Wellner.

“Butterfinger has long been associated with clever, irreverent humor,” said Butterfinger marketing manager Daniel Jhung. “Leave it to this brand to serve up the first-ever consumer packaged goods ARG with a light, Butterfinger twist.” Jhung added, “This game is a salute to the truly clever community of ARG enthusiasts everywhere. They’ve made a huge impact on pop culture and given a new face to gaming.”

The contest will span six different games over almost a three week period. The game starts October 13, with the reveal on Halloween, October 31 st 11:59pm EDT. Players can play all six games and jump in and out at any point. There are also weekly prizes including, iPhone3GS, Flip Cameras, and DJ Hero Renegade/Guitar Hero game bundles.
