Playstation 3 users are blowing up a Playstation blog post with over 16 pages (794 comments). The comments are complaints that after updating to the latest firmware issue they are seeing films and games freeze along with various error codes.

While Sony claims that the firmware 3.01 has nothing to do with the problems they are experiencing, it is difficult to see so many complaints filed from users that claim they’ve had no prior issues with the console.

Playstation 3 users that have contacted Sony have been told to send their machine in for repair, costing them $150 if it’s out of the one-year warranty.

I did a quick poll on my Twitter feed and no one else seems to be experiencing problems. My own Playstation 3 worked fine playing a Blu-Ray on Sunday. We’ll post more information when we get it.
