    Hobby Angels Holiday Guide

Kids under 10 Pokemon: This card game was popular when I was growing up, and it’s still played today. You can find starter decks, booster packs, and everything else needed to play at most card stores and places like K-Mart or Wal-Mart. It has a really easy layout, it’s pretty simple to learn, and it’s not as “hardcore” as Yu-Gi-Oh! or Magic can be. It’s based on the popular cartoon, which still airs. For kids under 10 that are interested in card games, this is a good place to start. ~RenoChan Oshi: This is a logic board game that is surprisingly simple to figure out. It’s recommended for kids 8+, and it definitely fits that. The point is to move your pieces around the board to push your opponent’s pieces off to get a certain number of points. The rules are on a single page, front only, and are pretty

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm novel coming August 2010?

An Amazon listing has surfaced that states that a new novel by Christie Golden that will be released next August. Titled World of Warcraft: The Shattering: Prelude to Cataclysm I think that like Arthas: Rise of the Lich King, we will get more of the back story to the next expansion.  Now this could also give us a bit of a hint on the release date for Cataclysm. My own personal guess is that the book will probably come out not too long after the next expansion. The story that this novel could potentially tell should be intriguing to say the least. We may get more backstory on Deathwing’s thoughts and reasons. We may get a deeper glimpse into Goblin society and what’s happening in Gilneas. We could even hear more about the final fight with the Lich King since this novel is labeled as a “Prelude to Cataclysm.” I’m

Online retailers boycott MW2 PC due to Steam involvement

While most of the retail world goes into a selling frenzy for Modern Warfare 2, these online retailers are taking the opportunity to stand up for something they believe in. Direct2Drive, Impulse and Gamersgate are all dropping the title from their list of games for sale. Meaning they won’t be selling Modern Warfare 2 at all. This is because the PC version of MW2 includes a mandatory install of Valve’s Steamworks. Direct2Drive has said that it’s refusing to sell any game bundled in such a manner until Valve has “decoupled its retail marketplace” from Steam’s other services. Follow

The developers are still polishing the game, working on the beta and expected game launch during Q2 2010. The launch will be massive as the StarCraft series has sold 11 million units worldwide.
