To put it simply and bluntly, its stupid…. If anything, i was thinking it was promoting domestic violence and abuse until you get to the end, then it just seems like “Ohhh well…don’t do this”. We don’t need more of that in our society anywhere and i will say from the looks of it, it bored the hell outta me.

While I can preciate the message the creators of the game may have been trying to get at through this, I have to say this is contradictory and counter-productive to that message in my opinion. As previously mentioned, it attempts to promote awareness for Domestic Violence but like Vainya said, it nearly promotes it. The shock factor mentioned by GA does its job in getting people’s attention but it fails in two ways. #1: It fails to keep the viewers attention for obvious reasons so they won’t finish watching the video. #2: If it does keep a person’s attention, it provides negative reinforcement to a viewer that won’t take it seriously. Thanks for finding this. I think i’ll be using this as a topic of discussion for my Social Work class.

I wanted to play it but when i went to it it said the site was only for people from denmark. I dont think this game could really teach anyone anything, i get what they were tyring to do, but they could have went about it alot better.

It would have been cool if one of the times when you went to hit her, someone grabbed your hand and smacked you around, and you lost the game, much more effective.

and yeah, i totally agree with the idea that them even referring to her as a “bitch” makes it seem like you should hit her, i mean, we all know its not ok, we knew that even before playing the game. Its just the nature of games i guess, referr to something in a negative tone, give someone a gun and some bullets, and theyll probably shoot it atleast once.

Sure it makes sense story-wise. But it’s not like the user is making a choice whether to participate or not. They can not shoot, but they still have to walk through it, or they can shoot along with the others. I also noticed that by using the same models, it just felt more like in-game and didn’t create an emotional response from me. This ad, created more of an emotional response than that scene in MW2.

“But just like the Airport scene in MW2, it doesn’t make much sense. ” Have you even played through campaign and PAID attention to the storyline? It makes quite a bit of sense to go through it to understand how everything plays into action. Not sure what’s so hard to grasp with that scene.

Um.. who thought of this? It’s not the best concept ever to get across that domestic violence is wrong. In fact I think this sort of promotes it.
