Carolyn, my thanks to you, Padma, Dr. Seckin and everyone else involved in the EFA. For years I have been looking for an organization dedicated to researching endometriosis exclusively, and now there is one for me to throw my support behind. Please keep up the good work!

Thank you so much for your inclusion of the EFA!

Since joining the EFA in October it has shocked me to discover that one in nine women have this disease. More than that, it is also the most under- and mis-diagnosed disease due to the little information available for both patients and doctors. That means that the numbers of women suffering are likely much higher!

We are a very new organization, however, we already are making great strides. Dec. 4th we will be meeting with the Massachusetts adolescent health coalition at Massachusetts Department of Public Health, where EFA will look to join an existing coalition on adolescent health to add Endometriosis research and education to their ongoing studies of adolescent reproductive health treatment, it's one of our pilot research pieces for EFA.

Additionally, our founders Tamer Seckin, M.D. and Padma Lakshmi will launch the MIT/Harvard Gynaepathology Research Center along with Prof. Linda Griffith of MIT.

All very exciting first steps and we want to thank you for your support!!
