RavenSword: The Fallen King Delayed

By: GamergirlSB

Chillingo announced today that RavenSword: The Fallen King has been delayed. Apple recently rejected multiple applications using the Unity engine. The Unity engine includes Storm8 and API calls.  These APIs were used by developer Storm8 to solicit contact information from players. According to Chillingo, Ravensword and many other Unity-built games do not collect any information from players.  Apple rejected the game and others to protect players and prevent this from happening again. Chillingo also reported that Ravensword: The Fallen King did use these APIs and they’ve now been removed and the game has been resubmitted to Apple.

As a follow up, the Unity engine has been fixed and the APIs removed.  Storm8 does not use Unity.  When Apple first started rejecting the Apps, many developers did not know why they were being rejected. Once Unity developers found out about the situation, they corrected it.
