    Darksiders Preview event

THQ invited us to check out Darksiders and meet with the team yesterday. Darksiders is definitely a project of love and passion by Vigil Games. It started out with a team of four men and has grown to 130. Today we had a hands-on with the title and were able to interview two people from the team. In Darksiders, the player takes on the role of War, one of the four legendary Horsemen of the apocalypse. In the story, heaven and hell are fighting each other and the world has been destroyed. War is blamed for starting Armageddon early and is stripped of his powers. He’s also set to wonder the earth forever; War takes this as an opportunity to find out what happened. For the hands-on we sat in a room with the game, Xbox 360, tv and a controller. THQ provided us with uninterrupted hands-on with the game

Australia: AVP ban in “public interest”

Mature Australian gamers have a very difficult fandom. This is because Australia’s Attorney General thinks he knows how to best protect you and the “public interest”. Of course that means keeping mature games out of the country. Speaking to ABC News, he said: “This is a question of a small number of very zealous gamers trying to impose their will on society. And I think harm society. It’s the public interest versus the small vested interest.” That’s right your numbers are small and he must protect the public good you zealous adult gamers.
