Modern Warfare 2 is the most pirated game of 2009

We haven’t brought up Modern Warfare 2 in quite a while, so I thought I would bring it back. Modern Warfare 2 might be making and breaking sales records this holiday season, but it’s also breaking one record that Activision can’t be too happy about. Modern Warfare 2 is the most pirated PC game of 2009. In the first five days, the title made $550 million. “In just five days of sell through Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has become the largest entertainment launch in history and a pop culture phenomenon,” Activision CEO Bobby Kotick said commenting on the game’s success. Kotick probably didn’t know is that it’s popular on torrents as well with almost 4.1 million copies being downloaded illegally. The game doubles last year’s top contender, Spore.

Boys in skirts who aren’t Scottish?

Not to say anything about the Scots and their traditions of wearing kilts, but if you see your manga boys sporting a few frills it makes you a bit concerned. Or confused. Both. It actually brings to my mind a line from the song “Whatchu Think About That?” by the Pussycat Dolls: “Now if your dude ain’t actin’ right you tell that dude he got to go”. We’re not sure if this is a new craze in the lands of Nippon (Japan), but there is a publisher who is producing a magazine with lads getting geared up as girls, sporting high heels and pretty tops (like the photo shown). The publisher in question is Ichijinsa, and some of you may know this company to be responsible for producing the “Loveless” manga in Japan. They also host a regular booth at the Comiket (Comic Market) events held in Tokyo, where they

Review: Robsessed: Inside the life of Robert Pattinson

Robert Pattinson is mostly known for his role as obssessed, stalker in the Twilight series. He also played Cedric in the Harry Potter movies. But really Twilight has been the role that has launched him into the spotlight. With that have come rumors of various relationships and critics wondering if Robert can really act. While fans may be in love with the handsome actor, one director thought that he already deserved a documentary of his own. Speaking mostly with friends, and gossip columnists, Irene Antoniades tries to capture what makes Robert Pattinson so special. The documentary seems to early in his career as an actor and comes off as someone trying to capitalize on his fame. I sat and watched the hour and ten minute documentary from Netflix to see if Robsessed: Inside the life of Robert Pattinson actually has anything to offer fans of the glittery vampire. The film

My Guilty Pleasure – DOA Volleyball

We all have them. One or two games on our shelves or hidden within a Steam collection that others would make fun of us for owning. I for one have poked fun at people buying games that probably never should have been made in the first place. Or ridiculed near thirty year olds for playing Pokemon. They are an easy target. I just can’t help myself. My first guilty pleasure was introduced into my life by someone I know who absolutely loves the Dreamcast. It was there that I was first introduced to the boob-defying physics of the Dead or Alive girls. I was not the best DOA player. I pretty much knew about five of Lei Fang’s moves, button mashing like hell. Fast forward to the Xbox. Team Ninja announced they were going to make a volleyball game featuring the girls from DOA. Even though I knew the game
