Call for new GamingAngels.com Staff

gamingangelhires2

GamingAngels is looking for some new writers, and we want to hear from you!

GamingAngels.com has been growing like crazy in the past few months, and we’re looking for some new Staff Members to help keep up with all the exciting new things that are happening.  If you are curious about what it takes to write for GamingAngels, you can check out our Submissions Page for more details. All positions will start by going through our guest submissions process, and from there we can discuss if you would like to join the staff or remain a guest contributor.

Currently, we have several positions in mind that we’re looking to fill with dedicated volunteers, however, we’ll still be looking for articles from guests as well.  Below is a list of the positions we’re hoping to fill with a little bit about each one.  If you have questions, please email me at cherith@gamingangels.com.  I can help you understand what our regular requirements are for all staff as well as anything else that might be specific to a certain position.   To apply for any position, please read over the descriptions below, as well as the information on the Submissions page and then email cherith@gamingangels.com to let me know you’re interested.

News Editor
This position will be all about updating the news on GamingAngels.com Monday through Friday.  This is the busiest section on our site, and we need someone that’s available during daylight US hours to help keep up with the steady stream of information.  If you inquire about this position, please make sure that you’ll have these hours available to post to the site, as well as have regular access to email.

Australian Editor
As many regulars at GA will know, we already have one dedicated Australian Editor – Naomi.  Due to the growth of releases for games and other media in Australia, we’re looking to expand to a second person.  This person needs to have a decent understanding of how we write reviews here on GamingAngels.com in order to keep up with new releases needing review.  Also, this person would need to be available to attend occasional events and conventions as a GA representative.

UK Editor
Sadly, we’ve recently had to say goodbye to our UK Editor, Sugar_Ninja.  That means we’re looking for someone that can attend events, specifically in the London area as a representative for GamingAngels.  This may not be a full-time position, with regular reviews, but responsibilities could be expanded depending on the person.

In addition to those three positions, we’re always looking for people that are willing to write for our Super Angels (comics) section, or are ready to write new game reviews.  At the moment, we’re accepting Guest Submissions for our Super Angels section as well as anyone who might classify themselves as a “Mommy Blogger”, and are hoping for good people that might be able to work up to a Staff position.

Thank you, and I hope to hear from some of you soon!

We definitely need to add to our family to meet our growing demand! Which is awesome news! It’s work, but it’s alot of fun being on staff and we have some very interesting things planned for 2010!

I’d love to try out for the Australian position, but it would compromise the female perspective of the site, which is what makes it stand out as unique (and awesome!).

Hope you get lots of interesting, brilliant people to make the site even better!

I would love to be on staff, but the only time I have a lot of time and would benefit the site greatly is when I don’t work in the summer months. I think I can make a great contribution on the site and for fellow gamers. The reason for seasonal work is because I am a teacher’s assistant at a high school. Summer is when I need money the most. I would love to volunteer when school and work is back in session though. I don’t suppose you have seasonal work…? :)

Is there a closing date for the Australian position?
