Image Comics has announced that “Fractured Fables” an upcoming kids comic anthology will finally make it’s debut for Free Comic Book Day in 2010.

“FRACTURED FABLES is a primer to a larger anthology coming this summer with some of the biggest names in comics doing all-new, hilarious takes our most beloved fairy tales,” Fractured Fables editor Jim Valentino said. “We’re looking to introduce younger readers to the wider world of comics and believe Free Comic Book Day is a prime opportunity to give them their first look!”

The book features a cover by Mike & Laura Allred, creators at Madman Atomic Comics and new stories by Bryan Talbot, Doug TenNapel, Ted McKeever, Camilla d’Errico, Christian Ward, Alexander Grecian, Derek McCulloch and Anthony Peruzzo. A hardcover anthology for “Fractured Fables” will be available sometime later in 2010.
