Yesterday, Valve announced in a press release the first DLC for Left 4 Dead 2 entitled “The Passing.” In this pack, the survivors from L4D will meet up with the survivors from L4D2 in a new campaign which will have a new zombie type, firearm, melee weapon and multi-player.

“The Passing” is set to take place in Georgia and is scheduled to be released in early 2010 for download on PC and Xbox 360. No price point has been given as of yet.

I can only hope, along with many other Left 4 Dead fans that we could see some 4 on 4 co-op with our favorite foursome from the first installment. I’m sure I’m not the only one who misses “grabbin’ pills!”
