I heard on the radio that sales were slightly up from last year in terms of the Thanksgiving weekend. Nintendo reports that they did very well this holiday break. They sold 1.5 million Wii, DS, and DSi video game systems in the US during Thanksgiving week. Basically a system ever 2.5 seconds.

“Holiday shoppers are finding value in our products’ prices, and through a game-play experience that is unique to Nintendo,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing.

Looks like Nintendo is still having success with hardware sales.

Now all they have to do is to start making more good games! :-) Not coming out with 1 decent game every quarter.
