    New Section 23 goodness!

    We have more news this week from Section 23 telling us of 2 more new releases for our US friends! Sentai Filmworks have brought out 2 anime series – “GLASS MASK COLLECTION 1” and “SPECIAL A COLLECTION 2”. “GLASS MASK COLLECTION 1” is based on the manga series of the same name, and has even been made into a live-action series starring Yumi Adachi.     New Elements of “Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker” Revealed

    Thursday, Konami released a little more tantalizing information about Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.This installment of the series is set after the events of Metal Gear Solid 3 during a Cold War scenario, in case you didn’t know that much already. As far as new information, we’ve learned of the existence of Mother Base: A place where Snake can upgrade weapons, get information, and keep recruited soldiers, who act as Snake’s support system. Another minor reveal is the AI Weapons, giant unmanned behemoth vehicles that Snake must defeat at the end of a mission. Each AI Weapon can talk or even sing.     Racket Sports Party Coming to EMEA Region

    Today, Ubisoft announced that Racket Sports Party, which combines the five most popular racket-based games into one title, will be available to the EMEA region on March 25, 2010. The game offers players the chance to play tennis, beach tennis, squash, badminton, and table tennis in over 40 different locations, like a palace, casinos, and stadiums. Why you would play badminton in a casino, I don’t know, but if it makes someone’s dreams come true, so be it. You play badminton in a casino. Go on with yo’ bad self. There are six different game modes, and with split-screens, you can play with your friends. Character customization allows you to change the face, body, and clothes of your characters. What makes this title different from something like Wii Sports (Resort) or Wii Play? Well, the peripherals do.     New Booster Packs and Global Ranking System

    Yu-Gi-Oh! has been busy lately! First off, the COSSY system is now live! This system allows duelists to connect to the global online Duelist rankings system from their own computers. Players can register for the COSSY program at premier events throughout the year, such as Regional Championships, Continental Championships, Shonen Jump Championships and the World Championships, or at official tournament stores to get their own COSSY identification. A complete list of tournament events can be found here. On the ranking screen, there will be two tabs. One is Preliminary and the other is Verified. Preliminary rankings are a running total of all results that are in the system to date, and they show how duelists stack up against each other.     Power Chord Academy’s New Locations

    For those of you that aren’t familiar with Power Chord Academy, it is a summer rock’n’roll music camp for teenagers. It is the leading summer camp for amateur and pre-professional musicians and works to train and improve their musical skills. This year marks the camp’s 12th year of the original program, and the directors are proud to announce new destinations for a budding musician’s summer music experience.     Today, Electronic Arts announced several things related to their golf portfolio for 2010. The Tiger Woods PGA Tour franchise will continue in a couple of forms.
