I grew up watching He-Man and She-Ra. The fantasy world of He-Man allowed us to fall in love with good but not be too scared by evil. Skeletor was evil and looked the part, but I don’t remember being scared. Maybe that’s cause I knew He-Man and his friends would save Eternia and the Castle of Grayskull.

The latest Gallery 1988 exhibit celebrates He-Man universe in, “Under the Influence: He-Man and the Masters of the Universe”. The exhibit showcases 100 artists’ interpretation of the cartoon property.

The exhibit runs through January 29, 2010 and it’s definitely not to be missed if you are in the Los Angeles area. The art is highly varied in both subjects and style. I personally loved many of the pieces and tried to convince Jinkwell to purchase the Skeletor pic below:
