Monster Hunter Tri + Wii Classic Controller Pro = True Love?

By: Tiffany Nevin

Today, Capcom announced their release of a new bundle containing both Monster Hunter Tri and the new Wii Classic Controller Pro.

“What’s the difference between the Classic Controller and this new iteration?” I hear you asking. First, get out of my head. Second, the Classic Controller Pro plugs into the Wii Remote, has two rows of shoulder buttons and a more ergonomically-friendly grip. See?

BlackClassicControllerPro_webreadyBoth black and white versions of the controller will be available in the US, with only the black one being pre-bundled with Monster Hunter Tri. Sorry if you wanted a white one with it. The MSRP for the controller is $19.99.

Check out that monster. I bet you can hunt it.

As far as Monster Hunter Tri goes, it depicts a world where humans co-exist with monsters both on land and under the sea. I’m sure they’d prefer you using the bundled controller (the bundle is $59.99), but if you want to use the original Classic Controller or a Wii Remote and Nunchuck to do your Monster Hunting, you can do that too. The price of the game by itself is $49.99, so you save roughly $10 on the controller by buying them together.

I'd imagine it's the same as the old one. Though only having the old one, I can't really say.
