Power Chord Academy’s New Locations

By: RenoChan

For those of you that aren’t familiar with Power Chord Academy, it is a summer rock’n'roll music camp for teenagers. It is the leading summer camp for amateur and pre-professional musicians and works to train and improve their musical skills. This year marks the camp’s 12th year of the original program, and the directors are proud to announce new destinations for a budding musician’s summer music experience.17067-medium_pca_180x150

This year, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Houston, and St. Louis will be added to the list of locations, joining New York, Chicago, Boston, San Diego, Miami, Seattle, Denver, Dallas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Washington DC. Whew! That’s a long list!

The camp boasts an expert staff and development for dedicated musicians ages 12-18. At camp, the students are put through very educational and intensive weeks. PCA campers get the experience of a week of virtual rock stardom. Students will professionally record a CD single with a producer, shoot an MTV-level music video, and perform several concerts for friends and family. The staff is proud to be able to offer guidance, inspiration, technical pointers, while the students get to experience performances from some of the most influential bands of today.

For more information about the program or for those of our readers that might fall into this age category, check out the Power Chord Academy website.

Trading Card Games and Collectible Card Games are her passion. She can usually be found lurking around the Hobby Angels section or playing teaching games with her friends, inviting more people to the awesome world that is Magic: the Gathering. She enjoys playing on her Xbox 360 and DS, as well as her Playstation 2, and, when not online or gaming, is nearly obsessively playing trombone. Her quote? "Where are we going and why are we in this handbasket?"
