Racket Sports Party Coming to EMEA Region

By: Tiffany Nevin

Today, Ubisoft announced that Racket Sports Party, which combines the five most popular racket-based games into one title, will be available to the EMEA region on March 25, 2010.

Racket Sports Party

The game offers players the chance to play tennis, beach tennis, squash, badminton, and table tennis in over 40 different locations, like a palace, casinos, and stadiums. Why you would play badminton in a casino, I don’t know, but if it makes someone’s dreams come true, so be it. You play badminton in a casino. Go on with yo’ bad self.

There are six different game modes, and with split-screens, you can play with your friends. Character customization allows you to change the face, body, and clothes of your characters.

What makes this title different from something like Wii Sports (Resort) or Wii Play? Well, the peripherals do. Racket Sports Party uses both the Wii Motion Plus attachment and Ubisoft’s Motion-Tracking camera (already used for the Your Shape title). So this promises more than your usual hand-flicking motions. These aren’t mandatory as far as I can tell, but their addition will definitely add to your game-playing experience.
