Save the World! (Again!) Final Fantasy I & II Coming to iPhone/iPod Touch

We iPhone users get everything. Whether it’s a good port of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars or even a Sega emulator, we have the world in our pocket (at least as far as mobile gaming goes).

Now, another reason for you to make the switch, if you haven’t already: Square Enix is bringing Final Fantasy I and II to the iPhone and iPod touch. Look, they even put together this snazzy graphic for it!

Okay, it’s admittedly pretty simple. But they have undertaken quite a task, so I’ll forgive them.

Unfortunately, “soon” is as close to a release date as we’re getting from Squenix at the moment. But! They have given up some additional info. There will be new dungeons not available in the original, and some sort of “bonus content” available after game completion (I don’t want to imagine the number of dead battery moments I’ll experience. I just don’t).
