2009 proved to be another great year for Valve and its Steam service. In numbers released from Valve today, 2009 saw the service grow to over 25 million players, a 25 percent increase over 2008. December saw the more than 2.5 million users logged in and using Steam at the same time, as well as logging over 13 billion minutes of game time.

Steam now offers more than 1000 games from over 100 developers, which is simply amazing.
