It’s been a while since we’ve heard of a new VIZ Kids release. Luckily we have news that here is something coming out next Tuesday, the 2nd of February 2010.

The new release is called “Dinosaur King” (written by Yohei Sakai) and is the story of a young boy named Max who has an obsession with dinosaurs! He knows knows the difference between each species, and is even better than some paleontologists. When he finds a stone tablet that can actually take him back in time to the dinosaurs era, he thinks he has hit the jackpot. He befriends a dinosaur named King, who tells him of an evil genius named Dr. Z who has enslaved the dinosaurs because he wants their hidden powers which he will use to take over the world! It’s up to Max to take down Dr. Z and his Alpha Gang so that his beloved dinosaurs are freed, and the fate of the future world is safe! And that’s only in Volume 1!

That’s not all though – there’s a second volume coming out in April! King’s mother gets stuck on Alpha Mountain and it’s up to Max to save her. But he needs to be careful as Dr. Z has traps awaiting him on every step he makes on his mission. Max and King are getting more in sync with their attacks, but they need to defeat the Alpha Gang as well conquer the mountain – will they manage?

Both of these volumes include bonus trading cards, but are limited in quantity so be quick if you plan on getting this! Volume 1 is available on February 2nd, 2010, while Volume 2 is available on April 6th, 2010. Both are rated ‘A’ for All Ages, and are expected to cost $7.99US or $9.99CAN.
